As new technologies continue to go global, the challenges of international, multi-language teams working closely on projects in a remote setup have become a prevalent trend. TikTok Singapore, a world-leading tech giant specializing in short-form videos, is not immune to these issues. In response, a diverse group of 25 members from the AMA+CNOB Solutions Engineering Team, representing multiple languages and cultures, attended a game-based TEAM FORGING training session in December 2023.

Facilitated by AMI’s Aha Moment Innovator, Bennet Lim, this training was deliberately designed to help participants from different countries and teams tackle their business challenges. The aim was to improve cross-border collaboration and foster effective cross-cultural communication.

The session was filled with excitement, cheers, and breath-holding moments as the team collaborated to overcome challenges. The game not only fostered deep engagement but also sparked profound, reflective discussions during and after each challenge. Guided by Bennet’s masterful facilitation, they gained valuable insights into improving cross-border interactions and cross-cultural communication. Many team members walked away with actionable takeaways, which they plan to apply in their professional roles.
