In September 2024, AMI hosted a transformative corporate training workshop for PALL - a proven industry leader in filtration, separation and purification technologies, bringing together 13 leaders from various departments at a pivotal time as the company launched its new semiconductor filter manufacturing site. The workshop was designed to tackle the challenges of cross-departmental communication and collaboration, particularly for a newly formed leadership team.
PALL’s new manufacturing facility, which aimed to serve the growing semiconductor industry customers and officially opened in June 2024, faced several operational hurdles. The participants, primarily engineers who had joined the company a year prior, encountered difficulties during the equipment qualification phase, including delays in installation qualification, misalignment in operational execution, and slower-than-expected performance results. These challenges highlighted the critical need for effective communication and collaboration across departments.
AMI’s training focused on enhancing both communication and teamwork. Through interactive games that mirrored real-world scenarios, participants were able to engage in deep discussions and reflect on the challenges they face in their daily work. These experiential learning exercises allowed participants to naturally connect the game scenarios to their workplace issues, sparking conversations on how they could improve their communication and processes moving forward, combined with the relevant theories by the facilitator. This hands-on approach not only improved communication skills but also deepened participants’ understanding of the critical role teamwork plays in achieving their goals. As such, the learning objectives were made.
