In December 2023, faced with the task of developing executive leadership for their next management team, Hordor Design Group turned to AMI for its cutting-edge simulation tool, Team Forging, and the Team Dynamics Hub, an unprecedented data analytics tool. AMI implemented a unique high-performance team and executive leadership development program for Hordor’s top twenty executives. The program provided insights into their leadership and teamwork styles, enabling objective planning for future executive leadership development and talent pipeline cultivation based on the participants’ habitual management behaviors.

To enhance competition and engagement, AMI further customized the executive leadership development program to include four rounds of team competitions with team member swapping between rounds. This setup allowed executives to demonstrate their abilities in team management, task-oriented communication, strategy development, and decision-making with different team members, mirroring real-world workplace scenarios.

Participants identified areas for improvement during post-game reflections and discussions. The immersive learning method facilitated the transformation of their game performance into opportunities for executive leadership development, personal growth.

The company’s top leader also greatly benefited from this executive leadership development training, observing the gameplay from a hybrid space and analyzing post-training performance data. The Team Dynamics Hub captured data during gameplay, providing insights into team efficiency, time usage, communication quality, and standout individuals. Recognizing its potential, the chairman directed the HR team to incorporate this data into future executive leadership development strategies and talent pipeline planning, potentially influencing promotions, appraisals, assessments, training needs, and placements over the next three years.

”I would say this game is extremely important for all companies in terms of talent development and selection!”
